“Walls always win”

Yet again, I offer my sincere apologies for the lack of updates on here. Towards the end of May, I decided that my drunken student experiences had not been taken to a new level. Therefore in a crazed act of boozy, emotional led stupidity I undertook 15 rounds with the brick walls of Aberystwyth [which I must say, don’t seem to be swayed by my brute force]. Of course, this only resulted in an early morning in A&E with my friends, who I kindly woke up to come along for the ride. The diagnosis: a boxer’s fracture, which isn’t as cool as it sounds. Somehow [and I am blaming the alcohol] I punched the walls at such an angle that I managed to break my ‘pinky’ knuckle, and damage the metacarpal. So for just about a month, my hand has been strapped up in plaster, and I have had to rely on my left hand for just about everything. Good practice, some would say, but a nuisance nonetheless. This is the main reason why I have not updated the blog, as typing was too much of an effort. But I am back now, and more determined than ever to keep the blog alive. I am sticking to my plan of updating every week, although the days cannot be predicted.

So then – what’s new?

Well I have moved in to our new house, which is quite homely once I get over the fact that I am alone all Summer. I have a feeling, though, that I am not alone. I think there may be a Casper wandering about, but I am hoping it is just my imagination manifesting these scary thoughts! *Shudders*. Moving swiftly on…
I am going home for two weeks to try and break the Summer up a bit, and in that time I am going to spend time with family and friends and search for some inspiration with my writing. I’ll hopefully also get some reading done, which will contribute towards my planned novel idea I have. I don’t want to disclose any information yet, as it is still in the planning process, but I really feel I have created an exciting story. Watch this space!

Until next time, amigos! 😉
